# तिरुक्कुरल 129

*आग से जला घाव भीतर से भर जाएगा। जीभ से जला घाव नहीं भरेगा।*

தீயினாற் சுட்டபுண் உள்ளாறும் ஆறாதே நாவினாற் சுட்ட வடு.

*tiyinal sutta pun ullarum arate / navinal sutta vadu*

The wound burnt by fire will heal inside. The scar burnt by the tongue will not.

The way a family talks can protect or harm mental health. Shame-sentences leave marks that outlast a fever. This is why stigma is not a small social habit.
